Hi,I am Scarlett and have been sewing since I was about eight years old. My first "real" project was a diaper bag for my doll (I still have it). My love of sewing only grew as I got older. My graduation gift from my parents was a Brother sewing machine that served me well for MANY years. My great-grandmother quilted and I have several quilts that she made for me. Watching her use cardboard templates and cutting with scissors, I thought, "I don't want to do that!", though I loved her beautiful creations. In 1998, I went to my first quilting class and the rest is history, as they say. By that time, rotary cutters had been invented and made cutting SO much easier! Sometime in the early 2000's, I discovered that machine quilting was my big dream. I learned to quilt on a friend's longarm machine and KNEW that was what I wanted to do! Now, I own two machines - both are 18" longarms. Hermann is hand-guided (not computerized) for free-hand and ruler work. Gladys is computerized with lots of designs. I use Quilter's Dream 80/20 batting and Glide thread - both are included in the quilting price. Pantographs/edge-to-edge designs start at $.015 per square inch. Custom free-hand and ruler work start at $.02 per square inch.
Since 2009, I have been quilting treasures - is yours next?
